Save the date: State-of-the-art Mpox Symposium 2026

23-25 November 2026, Kampala, Uganda

The 2026 State-of-the-art Mpox Symposium organizing comittee is pleased to announce the second edition of the symposium, taking place from 23 to 25 November 2026 in Kampala, Uganda.

After the first successful edition last December in Kinshasa, DRC, we are looking forward to bringing together Mpox researchers and experts to exchange scientific insights and strengthen international collaboration once again.

Après le succès de la première édition en décembre dernier à Kinshasa, en RDC, nous sommes impatients de réunir à nouveau des chercheurs et des experts de la variole du singe afin d'échanger des connaissances scientifiques et de renforcer la collaboration internationale.

The Global Health Institute (GHI) of the University of Antwerp, the Department of Tropical Medicine at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), the Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB), the Centre for Tropical Diseases and Global Health of the Catholic University of Bukavu and the ... will join forces to organize yet another in-person, free event that will be an inclusive space for scientists, policymakers and public health professionals to exchange ideas and strengthen collaborations in the realm of Mpox research.
